Refreshing or Fixing a Google Account Link to Aspen After an Update


Updating or Fixing Google Account Link in Aspen
After an update in Aspen, your Google account may not be linked correctly anymore. Any example of an error related to this can be seen below:

Please follow these directions to update or fix the account link between Aspen and Google Drive. Or, click the link below to open the directions full screen for better viewing.

  1. For all users, make sure you turn off the pop up blocker.
  2. Go to Set Preferences at the top right of your Aspen Page.

  3. In the window that pops up, click Communication tab and either REMOVE Access button to google or Click Add Google Access to link the Google account fresh.

  4. Another window will pop up asking you to accept access to your Google Account and perhaps a third asking which Google account to connect to (if you use more than one) or it may ask to then log into the Pinkerton Google Account.

  5. Choose Accept.
  6. Now go to the assignment where either a teacher wants to add a Google Doc or to an assignment for the student that has to access an attached Google Doc and click the Google button in Aspen.
  7. If logged into a school Google Account, it should be accessible again.
